Study Reports Aluminum in Vaccines Poses Extremely Low Risk to Infants
According to a study by the FDA, the risk to infants posed by the total aluminum exposure received from the entire recommended series of childhood vaccines over the first year of life is extremely low.
This study is important because it provides additional scientific information confirming that the benefits of aluminum-containing vaccines administered during the first year of life outweigh any theoretical concerns about the potential effect of aluminum on infants.

IOM Publishes Report on Vaccine Safety
This Institute Of Medicine sponsored analysis of more than 1,000 research articles, released on 25 Aug 2011, concluded that few health problems are caused by or clearly associated with vaccines.
In accordance with its charge, the committee focused solely on findings about potential risks of immunizations. It did not examine information that would have allowed it to draw conclusions about the ratio of benefits to risks. However, the committee members noted that deaths and disability due to infectious diseases have been dramatically reduced over the last century since the majority of vaccines were developed and brought into widespread use.
